Tatyana Ali has come a long way since she played spoiled rich girl Ashley Banks in the 90s NBC hit sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

Actress Tatyana Ali from the hit sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" in which she co-starred with Will Smith and Alfonso Ribeiro is now 41-years-old and the mother of two adorable little boys.

Ali married Dr. Vaughn Rasberry, an assistant professor from Stanford University, in July 2017, and welcomed their first child, son Edward Aszard Rasberry on September 16, 2016.

MOTHERHOOD

“You try to get ready, but nothing can really prepare you for what actually goes on and what it’s like.”

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Then on August 15, 2019, Ali and Rasberry welcomed their second son, Alejandro Vaughn Rasberry. Edward is now four, and little Alejandro turned one in September.

Ali has been sharing sweet photos of herself with her boys on Instagram which clearly shows the strong bond she shares with her two sons.

Things can sometimes be quite challenging because Ali opted for cloth diapers rather than the convenience of disposable ones

In one Instagram post, Ali shared a snap of herself on the couch cuddling both boys. Little Alejandro sat on her lap, while Edward seemed to be on the verge of napping curled up against his mom. She wrote:

"Let them know how very much they’re loved. #sundaysnuggles Rest up fam. Monday’s coming."

"I do feedings; he does diapers. That’s how we tag-team. He’s also kind of doing food too (...) Luckily he’s a really good cook."

SUSTAINABLE MOTHERHOOD

Things can sometimes be quite challenging because Ali opted for cloth diapers rather than the convenience of disposable ones. While cloth diapers are great for the environment and comfortable for the baby, they are also labor-intensive.

Luckily, Ali gets plenty of help and support from her friends, as well and her two younger sisters who are very involved in their nephews' lives. It takes a village, especially when a mom is socially distancing during a pandemic.

A MOTHER'S FEARS

In some of her posts, Ali also refers to the issue that weighs so heavily on the mind of every African American mother, the Black Lives Matter movement.

In another post, Ali shared a photo of herself reading Tami Charles' empowering book "All Because You Matter" to her sons. From doing Yoga with little Alejandro to cuddling Edward, it is clear that Ali is supremely happy in her motherhood, and that is all that matters.
